U50 patch status & evidence
Current U50 rules, historical parse evidence. Reviewed 17 September 2026 against the U50 launch notes, Incremental 1, Incremental 2 and final U50 Incremental 3. The 186,610 reference predates the incremental balance changes and is not a verified current-Live ceiling. Use the corrected mechanics below; establish your own post-patch result with a full kill and setup capture.
Werewolf DPS build at a glance
Sustained Werewolf DPS on bosses
Bloody Gnash · Feral Pounce · Bloodclaws
Savage Werewolf + Slivers of the Null Arca + Shattered Paths Signet + one Slimecraw. Start with this active Werewolf DPS build using Light Attacks for a focused target.
Werewolf DPS against stacked enemies
Claw Fury · Brutal Pounce · Bloody Gnash
For Werewolf DPS, keep the Savage core. Compare Mora Scribe’s Thesis against Null Arca when several targets matter. Build around the time you can actually spend channeling.
Werewolf DPS support assignment
Bloody Gnash · Z’en’s Redress · Roar of Alkosh
Werewolf DPS support is a separate roster job. Buff and debuff uptime take priority over personal parse numbers. Run it only when your raid lead assigns the coverage.
Start your Werewolf DPS build with the boss preset. The cleave and support versions are encounter adaptations, not three sets to wear at once. Set up morph changes before entering combat; Bloodclaws and Claw Fury cannot occupy the same bar.
What does the Werewolf DPS parse prove?
Hyperioxes publishes a 186,610 DPS Combat Metrics result against a 21-million-health trial Iron Atronach, alongside a setup capture and a recording published on 13 June 2026. The fight lasts approximately 1 minute 52 seconds. This is the reference behind the headline, not an Alpha Squad raid result.
Evidence boundary: the CMX footer shows eso.rc.12.0.4.3250808. A publication date after U50 launched does not establish the server used for the recording. The result is documented, but its Live-server provenance remains unconfirmed. No 200K PTS showcase or simulated result is presented here as verified Live DPS.

- What we use it for
- A documented early-U50 equipment reference and measured dummy result; later balance changes require a new test.
- What it does not establish
- A guaranteed Live result or real boss DPS.
Official U50 Live notes
- What we use it for
- Transformation rules and the patch’s combat refresh.
- What it does not establish
- A measured Werewolf DPS ceiling for this setup.
Skinny Cheeks / Charles showcases
- What we use it for
- Independent build and morph comparisons; showcases labelled PTS.
- What it does not establish
- Live certification for a 200K headline.
Community progression builds
- What we use it for
- Examples of raid assignments and practical adaptations.
- What it does not establish
- A universal best roster or independently audited raid performance.
The Werewolf DPS reference uses a trial dummy that supplies a controlled buff environment and lets you keep attacking. A raid may demand movement, target swaps, separate assignments or a different buff package. Compare boss damage with boss damage, and separate priority-target damage from total cleave.
Encounter references, with their limits
Hyperioxes links veteran Kyne’s Aegis and veteran hard-mode Moon Hunter Keep as U50 Werewolf gameplay references. The report details could not be independently inspected for this review, so no boss DPS, completion claim or support-uptime figure is inferred from them. Use the source guide’s gameplay section for encounter context alongside your own logs.
Werewolf DPS: Ultimate, Fury and Rampage
U50 replaces the old transformation timer with Ultimate upkeep. Base activation is 100 Ultimate, with a base 100-Ultimate upkeep check every 10 seconds in combat. Generation continues in form, and upkeep stops outside combat. The former 30% Maximum Stamina transformation bonus is gone. Official U50 Live patch notes.
Ultimate keeps the form
Train Call of the Hunt. Its rank-two reduction includes you: one transformed player alone reaches 32%, taking the base upkeep to 68 before other modifiers. Additional eligible group members lower it further, up to the passive’s cap. Check the passive.
Fury opens Rampage
At 1,000 Fury, activate Rampage for a 20-second window with 15% more damage and no Werewolf ability or upkeep costs. Save a ready window for a reachable priority target when a transition is imminent. Leaving form loses Fury.
For Werewolf DPS, Shattered Paths Signet rewards stored Ultimate, while transformation spends it. Track the pool around upkeep ticks, not only at the pull. Repeatedly losing form is a sustain problem: check passive ranks, potion coverage, Light Attacks, recovery windows and avoidable downtime before changing damage sets.
Take the combat passives: Insatiable Hunger, Master of the Chase, Blood Rage, Feral Cruelty and Call of the Hunt. The infection passive is optional for damage. Use Devour where a safe corpse is available; never abandon an assigned mechanic to feed. Werewolf skill line and passives.
Werewolf DPS after the U50 incremental patches
29 June: Signet’s cap and trigger interval changed; the inactive-bar respec interaction that enabled slotted passives in Werewolf form was fixed. Inc.1 notes
20 July: Feeding Frenzy’s 6% bonus was fixed; Feral Cruelty now grants 10% / 20% at ranks I / II against monsters. Inc.2 notes
Do not multiply the old parse by one changed percentage: the proc interval, synergy behavior and damage mix also matter.

Piece audit: Null Arca = five body pieces. Savage Werewolf = shoulder + necklace + ring + two daggers. Slimecraw = head. Signet = second ring. Total: 5 + 5 + 1 + 1. All armor uses Maximum Stamina glyphs.
¹ The CMX capture labels the jewelry enchants “Multi-Effect”; the source guide lists Increase Physical Harm. The table states the recommended damage enchant, rather than claiming the capture proves an exact multi-effect tooltip. The captured human back bar is an Infused Perfected Maelstrom ice staff with a Weapon Damage enchant; it is not an additional active Werewolf bar.
Savage Werewolf
Set details & Moon Hunter Keep loot
Light Attacks apply the melee bleed. Its U50 five-piece also adds 6% damage in Werewolf form. This makes clean weaving an equipment requirement, not just a rotation detail.
Slivers of the Null Arca
Set details & Lucent Citadel loot
Critical damage builds toward a focused crystal proc. Use it as the single-target reference. The normal set is a practical stepping stone while collecting perfected pieces.
Shattered Paths Signet
The current PvE bonus caps at 133% status-effect damage with 133 Ultimate. At that threshold, attacks can trigger its status application every 2 seconds. Minor Timidity still matters to your Ultimate budget. Official Inc.1 correction takes precedence over older database values.
One Slimecraw
The head supplies the one-piece Critical Chance bonus. You are not wearing the two-piece set, and should not count its Minor Berserk as an extra benefit.
Werewolf DPS: a Mora Scribe swap for cleave
Use Savage Werewolf on chest, shoulders, hands, legs and feet. Put Mora Scribe’s Thesis on the waist, necklace, one ring and both daggers; retain the Signet and Light Slimecraw head. This gives five Medium / two Light. Keep Divines armor, Stamina glyphs and Charged daggers. It is a different piece arrangement, not a five-Light body swap.
Mora’s value follows your actual Major and Minor buff coverage and available Critical Damage headroom. Null Arca remains the focused-target option. Compare the two over the same encounter with the same assignment; a trash pack that dies immediately will not behave like a long dummy fight.
Building your Werewolf DPS set collection
Prioritize correct five-piece bonuses and upgraded weapons before perfecting every body piece. The Gnash reference offers Order’s Wrath or Blooddrinker as access alternatives; the Claw Fury reference includes Order’s Wrath or Deadly Strike. These are alternatives to test while gearing, not the equipment behind the 186K result.
Werewolf DPS skill bars
Boss preset — Bloody Gnash
At close range this becomes Feral Carnage. Maintain its bleed; damage contributes to Fury generation and Stamina recovery.
Maintain the offensive buff and increased Fury generation. The damage bonus also increases incoming damage, so refresh in a safe health state.
Supplies Major Courage and the Feeding Frenzy synergy, plus its slotted critical buffs. Agree who provides these effects before deciding its refresh priority.
Your single-target filler. Its second hit scales in execute below 25% target Health. Maintain the supporting bleeds while using it.
A ten-second bleed with healing. Keep it running on the priority target. This occupies the same base-skill slot as Claw Fury.
The offensive transformation morph. Its attack bleeds and Major Berserk support this damage setup; Rampage becomes available through Fury.
Trash / cleave preset — two morph changes
Retain Hircine’s Rage, Ferocious Roar, Bloody Gnash and Werewolf Berserker. Replace Feral Pounce with Brutal Pounce, and Bloodclaws with Claw Fury. Prepare a saved loadout or change morphs before the activity.
Brutal Carnage applies a cone bleed. Reapplications build its extended duration; maintain it without repeatedly charging from outside melee.
A 4.7-second channel that can hit up to six enemies. It counts as direct damage. Stack position and channel safety matter more than the length of its animation.
Progression flex: Hircine’s Fortitude offers a safer healing package. Deafening Roar requires special care on a DPS: its Gnash interaction while bracing can taunt. Do not take it casually into a tanked boss encounter.
U50 caution: the Bloody Gnash tooltip’s Blood Hunger damage interaction is reported as fixed in the U51 notes. Do not add extra Roar casts solely to chase an assumed U50 Gnash bonus. The U51 change tracking is relevant to this discrepancy; its new costs are not used in this U50 guide.
Werewolf DPS rotation priorities
Bloody Gnash: Werewolf DPS boss rotation
- Before the pull: confirm the dagger bar, equipment, food, potion and starting Ultimate. Prepare the assigned Rage/Roar buffs without starting the encounter early.
- Open in melee: apply Feral Carnage and Bloodclaws, then fill with Bloody Gnash. Weave a Light Attack between instant skill casts.
- Refresh by duration: keep Carnage and Bloodclaws active; renew Hircine’s Rage. Refresh Roar for the buff or synergy your assignment requires, not after an arbitrary number of Gnashes.
- Activate Rampage: use a ready window while you can damage the target. Avoid spending the whole window running into a transition.
- Execute below 25%: Gnash gains value, but do not automatically drop your bleeds or essential support duties.
This Werewolf DPS rotation rewards anticipating the next mechanic before pressing a skill. If a mechanic will remove the target, stop refreshing effects that cannot deal meaningful damage. On return, restore the important durations and settle back into your priority rather than restarting a memorized sequence.
Claw Fury: Werewolf DPS cleave rotation
- Let the tank establish the stack. Aim Brutal Carnage through the targets you are assigned to kill.
- Build and maintain Brutal Carnage’s duration, keep Rage and assigned Roar coverage, then channel Claw Fury when you have a safe window.
- Use Gnash for a low-health priority target or a gap too short to fit a productive channel. Block or dodge immediately when required.
Judge a channel by the useful damage it delivers before interruption. A completed channel into dying low-priority enemies can be worse than switching early to the add that threatens the group. Review the target breakdown, not just the total damage meter.
Werewolf DPS: boss and trash decisions
Stationary boss; strong group support
- Starting choice
- Gnash + Savage / Null Arca
- What to verify in the log
- Priority-target damage, Light Attack accuracy, bleed uptime, Ultimate floor.
Sustained stacked adds
- Starting choice
- Claw Fury; compare Mora / Null Arca
- What to verify in the log
- Useful cleave, channel interruptions, buff coverage and Critical Damage headroom.
Brief trash pulls
- Starting choice
- Keep a prepared cleave preset; minimize setup overhead
- What to verify in the log
- Damage before targets die; avoid refreshing long effects into an empty pack.
Frequent movement or separate targets
- Starting choice
- Gnash as the first comparison
- What to verify in the log
- Time in range, target access and lost Rampage time.
Progression with deaths
- Starting choice
- Keep the simpler preset and defensive flexes
- What to verify in the log
- Survival and mechanic success before personal damage gains.
Forced bar-swap or form-sensitive mechanics
- Starting choice
- Prepare a human-form plan or another character
- What to verify in the log
- Whether the assignment can be performed safely and repeatedly.
Cloudrest is a reason to plan carefully: community support builds discuss leaving form for bar-swap mechanics. Do not assume permanent transformation is compatible with every assignment. Practice the transition and agree the fallback with the raid lead; a guide cannot replace encounter-specific execution.
Werewolf DPS armor weight also depends on group penetration and Critical Damage coverage. The medium reference is not automatically optimal in an under-supported group. Ask what debuffs are maintained on your target, then make one equipment change at a time.
Werewolf DPS or raid support?
A useful roster slot has a clear job. A pure damage Werewolf should know who supplies the group buffs it expects to receive. A support Werewolf must show that its debuffs stay on the required target while mechanics are handled.
Werewolf DPS support: Z’en + Alkosh
For a concrete Z’en + Alkosh arrangement, put Alkosh on chest, hands, waist, legs and feet; Z’en on shoulders, necklace, ring 1 and both daggers; Slimecraw on the head and Signet in ring 2. That is five Alkosh, five Z’en, one monster piece and one mythic on the transformation bar. The U50 Nightblade progression example illustrates the support role; this explicit slot map is an editorial arrangement to validate with your roster. Keep the Gnash/Bloodclaws bar and replace the Savage/Null package entirely.
Treat synergy use, positioning and damage-effect uptime as assigned duties. Do not promise the 186K reference while wearing support sets. Review coverage with the raid lead and judge whether the group benefits from moving that responsibility onto this slot.
Werewolf DPS raid buffs: Roar, Feeding Frenzy and Banner
Ferocious Roar has two jobs: its cast supplies Major Courage to you and up to 11 nearby allies for 20 seconds; activating Feeding Frenzy supplies its 6% damage bonus and Minor Force for 30 seconds. This morph lets you activate your own synergy. Casting Roar alone does not establish synergy-buff uptime. Review Ferocious Roar.
Banner Bearer is not a seventh skill on the transformed bar. This guide assumes an assigned group carrier where Banner is part of the raid setup. Self-carried Banner persistence through transformation has not been established in the evidence used here, so no self-Banner rotation is claimed.
For another raid-role perspective, see the Sorcerer Werewolf support example. These are community builds with encounter context, not independently verified raid logs.
Agree these responsibilities before the pull
Roar owner: call the refresh when the group is in range and check both Courage and Feeding Frenzy on the actual damage dealers. Synergy users: activate the synergy; do not assume the healer can activate it for you. Alkosh wearer: coordinate incoming synergies and hit the assigned enemy with the shockwave. Z’en wearer: check Touch of Z’en and qualifying DoTs on that enemy. If another player owns an effect, confirm who covers split groups and transitions.
Werewolf DPS: class, race and Champion Points
Nightblade baseline
Keep the native class lines for An Eye for Exploitation and Above and Beyond. The latter changes Critical Damage headroom. Activating subclassing removes access to Class Mastery; do not mix the two assumptions in a build sheet.
Attributes & Mundus
64 Stamina · The Thief · Stamina armor glyphs. Dark Elf is a practical damage-oriented starting choice; Khajiit requires room for its critical contribution. No measured racial ranking is claimed here.
Food & potions
The archived parse lists Braised Rabbit with Spring Vegetables and a potion labelled Essence of Health. The current source guide specifies a Health + Physical Resistance + Spell Resistance potion. Confirm the crafted effects in game; the item name alone does not identify them. Resource food is an encounter choice when sustain or survival fails.
Train Medicinal Use for this Werewolf DPS build. The potion name alone is not a recipe: choose the effects your assignment needs. Resource restoration and Minor Heroism can help form sustain, but check existing Heroism coverage. A duplicate named buff does not solve an unexplained resource problem.
Documented medium parse
- Four Warfare slots
- Wrathful Strikes · Fighting Finesse · Deadly Aim · Master-at-Arms
- Reason / adjustment
- These are the four shown in the CMX setup capture.
Gnash raid comparison
- Four Warfare slots
- Wrathful Strikes · Deadly Aim · Master-at-Arms · flex
- Reason / adjustment
- Keep Finesse when it contributes useful Critical Damage; compare Exploiter when Off Balance coverage warrants it.
Claw Fury comparison
- Four Warfare slots
- Wrathful Strikes · Biting Aura · Master-at-Arms · flex
- Reason / adjustment
- Follows the cleave reference. Choose the flex for actual Critical Damage and Off Balance coverage.
Do not copy a Critical Damage star into a capped setup. Likewise, Exploiter needs meaningful Off Balance uptime. Claw Fury’s direct-damage classification is why its channel should not automatically be treated as a damage-over-time skill for CP.
The captured Fitness bar is Boundless Vitality, Fortified, Rejuvenation and Celerity. That is a reference, not a rule for every hard mode. Defensive and movement choices should answer the incoming damage and mobility demands of your assignment.
Making Werewolf DPS repeatable
- Record the conditions: patch, server, dummy health, class/masteries, race, food, potion effects, gear quality and starting Ultimate/Fury. Include a complete kill and CMX setup capture.
- Fix execution first: inspect missed Light Attacks, bleed gaps, interrupted channels and time out of form. Change one variable and repeat under the same conditions.
- Validate the raid job: review deaths, assigned mechanics, priority-target damage and support uptime. Keep the same role when comparing pulls.
- Prepare a fallback: know when to leave form, what your human bar does and whether the group needs a different class for an encounter.
There is no universal Werewolf DPS dummy threshold that guarantees a hard-mode clear. Use your team’s entry requirement and demonstrate repeatable mechanics. A smaller parse with clean target focus and complete support coverage can contribute more than a larger number attached to missed assignments.
A repeatable Werewolf DPS test
Run at least three complete kills per configuration under the same conditions, alternating A and B where practical. Keep the median, the spread and every setup capture, including the slower run. Do not average a partial pull with full kills or silently change potion effects between runs. Record Live build number and date; an older screenshot is not a new-patch retest.
For raids: compare the same boss, difficulty, phase and assignment. Separate priority-target damage from total cleave. Check debuff gaps during attackable time, deaths, failed mechanics and time spent unable to reach the target. Review a representative clean pull and a progression pull; the best isolated burst window cannot certify the loadout.
Accept a change when: the improvement repeats, the required group effects remain covered and the setup still survives its assigned mechanics. If results overlap or conditions differ, keep both presets and label the outcome inconclusive. A roster decision should explain what the group gains.
Werewolf DPS FAQ
Is 186K Werewolf DPS guaranteed on U50 Live?
No. The 186,610 capture is an early-U50 dummy reference with an unconfirmed Live-server provenance, recorded before the Signet and Feral Cruelty adjustments. It does not establish current-patch raid DPS or guarantee a personal result.
Can Werewolf DPS fill an endgame trial slot?
It can be planned as a damage or support slot, provided its mechanics, buff coverage and form limitations suit the encounter. Validate it with your roster instead of treating every fight as a dummy.
Can I use Bloodclaws and Claw Fury together?
No. They are morphs of the same base skill. Save separate presets or change the morph before the activity.
Is Claw Fury a Heavy Attack or damage-over-time skill?
Neither description follows from its animation. It is a channeled skill classified as direct damage. Build its CP from that classification.
Should I copy the 200K Werewolf DPS showcases?
They are useful references, but the linked Skinny Cheeks showcases are labelled PTS. Do not compare their headline directly to a Live raid or represent them as a certified Live benchmark.
Does the human arena back bar add damage while transformed?
It is not a second usable Werewolf bar. Transform on the bar carrying the weapon-set pieces required by your setup, and plan any human-form phase separately.
Do I need Pack Leader instead of Berserker?
Berserker is the offensive morph selected here. Consider Pack Leader only for a deliberate defensive or group-support purpose and compare what the roster gains.
